SHIMMERING COLOUR BLIND

SHIMMERING COLOUR BLIND

CLOSED MY EYES

SITTING ON THE BENCH

WAITING FOR THE BUS

LET THE LIGHT

SHINING FROM THE SUN

THROUGH THE TREE

BE FELT AND NOT SEEN

AS THE BREEZE MOVED

THE CONTRASTING SMOOTH

ORGANIC MORPHED FORMS

AROUND MY EYELIDS

IN THE NEGATIVE

SPACES OF EVERYTHING

SO PEACEFUL

THE DANCE

IN THE FORGIVENESS

OF HOW STRANGE

IT IS

THAT THE PULSING

BEATS OF MY FAVORITE

METAL GODDESS'S VOICE

GETS ME THROUGH

THE LAST PART OF THE DAY

SHADOWS ON THE

PAVEMENT CLIMBING

ON THE BUS

THE MUSIC LETS ME

SHUT OUT ALL

THE DRAMA

OF SOCIETY

LETTING THE RHYTHM

WASH OVER ME

AS I GET HOME

CLOSE THE DOOR

TO SIT AND REST

SILENCE RAGES

AS I

GO TO TURN

THE MUSIC OFF

YET SOMEHOW

IT SHOUTS BACK TO ME

TO ENJOY

IT A FEW MORE

MINUTES

SO I MAKE MY TEA

AND LISTEN

AND I SMILE

SO SMILE

FOR THIS

IS WHAT

KEEPS ME

FIGHTING

AND

GRINNING

AND DEALING

WITH EVERYTHING

ALL THE

OBSTACLES IN THE WAY

KNOW THIS

I THANK YOU

BEYOND ALL

ELSE

THANK YOU

FOR THE MUSIC

TOUCHING MY SOUL

EACH AND EVERY DAY!!!
